Originally from Macon, Georgia, Dan graduated high school from Stratford Academy in Macon and then attended college at the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Prior to joining the paving industry, Dan worked in sales with the Xerox Corporation, Baxter International, and General Electric Medical. He then worked in real estate development and leasing with Trammell Crow. Dan and his partner formed Stratford Development, Inc. and for the next five years developed truck service centers across the Southeast which involved extensive travel.
When Dan started a family, he decided to stop the travel and purchase Georgia, Paving, Inc. After fifteen years in the asphalt industry, Dan has developed an overall understanding for how all the pieces fit together for construction and paving projects. His experience ensures that the paving portion of a project will fit seamlessly within the other phases of a project plan. Having seen the evolution of the company for nearly fifteen years, Dan has maintained steady growth and high quality of work to guarantee the customer’s satisfaction. Outside of work, Dan enjoys snow skiing, playing the guitar, and painting.
