With over thirty years in the asphalt and construction industry, Jerry has seen it all. Growing up in Mobile, Alabama, Jerry’s family was heavily involved in building construction and paving. This ignited his passion for these industries, and he graduated from Auburn University in 1966 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Prior to joining Georgia Paving as General Manager twelve years ago, Jerry spent twelve years with Associated Distribution (West Building Materials) in Atlanta as a Manager, Distribution Manager, Regional Manager and Vice President. In 1981, he joined forces with his brother and purchased Asphalt Specialists Paving, Co. After selling his portion of the company in 1995, Jerry was the General Manager for Ocala Lumber in Ocala, Florida. Most recently, Jerry worked for John Wieland Homes as General Manager of Forest Material, their material supply division.
With his incredible experience in the paving and construction industry, Jerry has the knowledge and expertise to deliver solid work using quality crews for virtually any type of asphalt or concrete project.
